Our People

Lee Bivens, CPA, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern Washington University in 1977. Upon graduation he was employed by Moss Adams & Company, a regional firm, at their office in Ellensburg, Washington. Moss Adams & Company sold the local office to O'Shaughnessy & Company where Mr. Bivens continued his employment until he purchased the firm in 1987. Mr. Bivens specializes in tax and tax planning, financial accounting and consulting for business development and management.

Bill Wilson, CPA, graduated from Central Washington University in 1985. Upon graduation he was employed by O'Shaughnessy & Comapny, a local firm, at their offices in Ellensburg and Cle Elum Washington. O'Shaughnessy sold the Ellensburg office to Lee Bivens in 1987, where Mr. Wilson continued his employment until becoming a partner in 1995. Mr. Wilson specializes in tax and tax planning, financial accounting and computer and business consulting.

Mark Messner, CPA, graduated from Washington State University, in 1993, with a degree in finance, and in 1995 from Central Washington University with a B.S. in accounting. Mr. Messner has been employed by Bivens & Wilson since 1997 and specializes in tax and estate planning and computer consulting.

Rosie Riddle, office manager, has been employed by Bivens & Wilson since 1995. Her duties as office manager include all billing and accounts receivable for the office. Mrs. Riddle also handles a large portion of the payroll service that Bivens & Wilson P.S. provide for numerous clients both large and small.

Our History

The original firm, Bivens & Associates, began in 1987 with general accounting, auditing and tax services for business and individuals. The firm has moved away from the area of auditing so that it can specialize in strategic planning for individual wealth maintenance and therfore minimization of tax liabilities for individuals and corporations. We believe in "old school" principles, but we also believe in keeping up with the needs of individuals and businesses in this rapidly changing world.

Our Credentials

Bivens & Wilson P.S. is a firm believer in supporting the local community. The company is a member of Better Business Bureau and Ellensburg Chamber of Commerce. All of the staff are involved with many non-profit organizations & civic clubs within the local area. The accountants of the firm are all members of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants.
